Julie S. Alarcón is a labor and employment associate at Castronovo & McKinney, LLC.
Julie earned her Juris Doctor degree from UC Hastings College of the Law in 2016 and was a Senior Note Editor for the Constitutional Law Quarterly Journal. She received her bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Los Angeles.
Prior to joining Castronovo & McKinney, Julie worked as a litigation associate in Los Angeles where she represented and counseled private and public sector unions on a wide range of legal matters. In 2016, Julie was awarded a prestigious and highly competitive legal fellowship with the AFL-CIO, where she worked on research and appellate advocacy focused on protecting the rights of workers in Washington, D.C. During law school, Julie interned for several prominent non-profits and government agencies, committed to serving the needs of the public, including ACLU Immigrant Rights’ Project, Legal Aid at Work, National Labor Relations Board, California Attorney General’s Office, and Hastings Community Justice Clinic. She also served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Carlos Vazquez in Los Angeles Superior Court. Upon graduation, Julie was inducted into the UC Hastings Pro Bono Society.
Julie currently serves as a Board Member on Ms. JD, a non-profit dedicated to the success of aspiring and early career women lawyers.
